Matt was born and raised in Sydney’s east. He has a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney.
Matt has always been a competitive and passionate sportsperson. During his earlier years he shared his soccer skills between the University of Sydney Super League and the Scots College Firsts. If that wasn’t enough, he also represented the school for basketball, swimming and water polo. It wasn’t until a serious sports injury at the age of 16 that Matt realised his ambition of becoming a physiotherapist.
During his five years of study, Matt worked as a sports coordinator and coach for Scots, specialising in Soccer and Basketball.
In his spare time, you can find Matt watching Seinfeld, walking his dog or going for a run. He is a Swannies supporter, loves a good burger and has a killer record collection.
“Matt is a caring and intelligent physio, took amazing care of me following a motor accident and now for my running niggles. Often don’t see him for months when everything’s going well, which is thanks to him too. Always gives exercises to work on and help the body strengthen those areas of weakness. Definitely recommend.”
